Yup, from 10 seconds in, it's blatantly obvious it's the beat sampled on the first album, Homework. They added some extra hits over the top of it too, and produced it to make it all sound nice though, let's not forget that!

@bifiere Billie Jean predates sampling at large, despite the minimal sampling efforts that existed in 1982. 1986-1987 was the real boom in sampling music, as equipment became more available and cheaper.
