i actually worked with this guy and after the day or should i say few days we went through with customers it wears on you and you cannot put it any better then he did customers are so damn rude even when they have no idea what they are ordering and chris was one of the best guys with customers its to bad maybe the corporate should really look at this song as a wake up and appreciate what the baristas go through on a daily basis

I worked in the city en route to the international airport. I saw all kinds from all over. For every asshole, there were probably 10-12 decent, reasonable, funny, interesting or genuinely kind people.

I was a barista for a number of years, I'm not anymore. I might be again someday.

I don't remember any of the assholes, or any of the problems. I remember seeing people on their most important days, I remember receiving personal Christmas cards from regulars, I remember watching their families grow, and getting to see awesome people all the time.

Every job has frustrations. I'd rather be having fun interacting with my community than fuming over a few sour apples.

I worked in food service once and although it was not Starbucks the experience was almost the same. That said, I'm surprised he got fired for it. That song was harsh and true or not if you are that morally opposed to serving people high sugar caffinated crap then quit and then post the song....it sends a stronger message.

Spot on dude! I worked for Starbucks for eight years and it ended in a messy 3 year court battle trying to get them to pay for my RMI issues from that job. While the company has some redeeming qualities they also seem to enjoy turning a blind eye to how their middle managers frequently do unethical and illegal things and get away with it. It's lame you got fired but trust me, you can do better! No one deserves to get treated like crap on a daily basis.
