Edwin Edwards Top Ten Films of the Week (1988)

Louisiana's legendary governor Edwin Edwards was a guest on my LSU-TV movie review program in 1988. He counted down the top ten grossing movies of the week. He was later re-elected in 1991, but was convicted of racketeering in 2001. He is currently serving time in federal prison, and is scheduled for release in 2011. (Disclosure: I replaced the original newspaper movie ads we cut to on camera with recent high-res movie posters or pics).

He's pretty good at doing movie reviews. Has he done any movie reviews of the movies he watched in the prison mess hall wearing his prison uniform?

Can they release Edwin to make room for Mary Landrieu who also takes bribes?

One thing about Edwin is that he has never been a hypocrite --  I think that is something that people in Louisiana appreciated.

I'm glad Reagan became the icon he did. He was the best President of my lifetime. And the Democrap presidents like Baracko, Slick Willie and Jimmy Carter just make him look better as time goes on.
