Amazing show and songs!!! I saw the Deaf West theatre's production of big river and loved it!!! I wish I could have seen it on broadway, but I hadn't been born yet. Best musical ever!!!

Love this musical!! We did this on my senior year of high school. And always still loved it. I downloaded the soundtrack on iTunes of all places! The song that had and will always get me the most is when Jim sing "Free at Last". That song wad sung for my best friend at his funeral a year after we graduated and after actually when we did this play. It was a reunion of my class that we all didn't want to have.

The skinny chap at 0:41 is Rene Auberjonois (you can also see him at the end, front row, center.) He was Odo on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, among many other roles.
