Kenya Government and Somalia Transitional Federal Government have agreed on a raft of measures to eliminate what they called common enemy in the name of Al Shabaab. Prime Minister, Raila Odinga met his Somalia counterpart Abdiweli Mohamed Ali in Nairobi and announced a joint offensive against the Al Shabaab. The meeting between the two leaders came in the wake of comments by Somalia TFG President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed that Kenyan forces were not welcome in his country. Odinga also dismissed as Al Shabaab propaganda claims that civilians were killed in air strikes by the Kenya Defence Forces in the Somalia town of Jilbi on Sunday in which 10 people were killed and about 47 others injured. And as Sheila Sendeyo reports, the TFG Govt. will also be inviting the International Criminal Court to initiate investigations into crimes against humanity committed by the Al Shabaab.
