  • change the backup internal battery! 3V 1200mA or greater 2/3A

  • doesn't help to bouncing values & unstable sound.

  • Try replacing the internal battery. You may also need to replace some capacitors.

  • is this have weight keys? like ts-12? so thanks

  • dont forget the reset of esq1...

with power off, push and hold first intrument button and turn keyboard on.

It will ask to reinitialize system? choose yes.

  • i have one of these but my problem is that it keeps locking up on me and i have to restart everything , also every now and then when i hit a key some are like supa loud and some are really quiet...is that a battery problem??

  • Believe it or not. Open unit and while wearing anti-static wrist band attached to chassis re-seat the two socketed chips on the main board. Could be your getting a partial connection on one of the chip legs. The keyboard is ~25 years old. The leads on the chips were tinned with solder. It builds up a coating of lead oxide after a long time. If you reseat chips it has tendency to wipe oxide off allowing correct contact. But do this very carefully as the ESQ 1 is extremely ESD sensitive inside.

  • Mine sometimes does this too...

I think it's just because of the analog components.

  • Mine had that problem and it was not keeping in memory anything that I would tryied to record in the sequencer or editing patch, etc..... I sent it to a repair shop and they just changed the internal batery..It is working very good right now!..By the way, Does anyone knows where I can find Cartridges for it?..I would love to have more sounds!

  • I have this problem also with mine. I think it might be the battery.

  • dead CEM3379, rarely dead channel mux 4051 or S&H mux SSM2300 replace it!
