  • Can these reporters learn how to pronounce Honolulu, NOT Hanalulu.

  • @PeoplesGeneral If you're going to be poor, the best place to be poor is in the US. Here, you get a cell phone, food, flat screen TV, etc. All this courtesy of your neighbors.

So, what other system can produce such a high standard of living?

  • @PeoplesGeneral

Capitalism is based on private property and individual rights.

US is still the largest manufacturing economy in the world at about 21% of goods made.

Because we've become so good at manufacturing, we no longer need as many people to do the work. We've automated and become more productive, a natural result of capitalism.

A lot of manufacturing that we no longer want to do is done in lower wage countries. That too is a natural result of capitalism.

  • @PeoplesGeneral "Capitalism is all about someone gaining while someone else is losing."

Not sure where you went to school, but, no it's not. It's about both parties winning by choice (voluntarily). Otherwise, they don't agree and don't engage.

Don't blame capitalism for central planning errors. Most problems we're facing in the US are directly attributable to government policy.

Free market capitalism is what built this country, not central government planning!

  • Communism, Capitalism, Socialism, Fascism/Corporatism... All these systems use MONEY.

How about one that does not? RT has shown videos in Greece where people trade their labor (making products or providing services).

Even in the USA, there are so-called "Communes" in which everyone chips in by putting in 42 hours of work a week.

Things can get done with out using money. Just people agreeing to work different tasks that benefit themselves, one another, and the wider community in general.

  • WOW

  • @cooperbry Capitalism is all about someone gaining while someone else is losing.

Don't believe me? Where are all of America's factories? What ever happened to those products several decades ago that used to say "Made in the U.S.A."? We lost out to countries like China, because our labor force was not cheap enough while the Chinese gained that massive manufacturing capability to the point that even the American Flag in stores has the "Made in China" label on it.

    We have massive unemployment!

  • the world banks are out to destroy the US and their fucking puppet bought off leaders

  • APEC?

sounds like something they made up after 9/11
