Thats because OEM turbo systems use bypass valves, not blow-off valves, that recirculate the relieve pressure back into the , compressor to manifold piping. Hence, they OEM turbo cars dont have that blow off sound. that doesnt mean that the positive pressure is left to shoot back into the compressor. Turbo surge is a real thing.
