Bangkok Airways Flight PG122 Koh Samui to Bangkok

Flight PG122 departed Koh Samui on the 6 August at 09.00. We boarded the bus at 08.40 which took us past the Bangkok Airways ATR-72-500 (HS-PGL) which had crashed a day before we were due to fly.

We also got a good view of a Thai 737-400 which had just arrived from Bangkok and was parked next to the Bangkok Airways 717-200 (HS-PGQ). After take off, we got a beautiful view of the north of Koh Samui. (Bo Phut, Mae Nam).

As we approached Suvarnabhumi Airport, we could see Don Mueang International Airport (4.40). We arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 10.15 and then taxiied to gate A3.

Nice video. I was also already flying together with my family several times between BKK and USM and we always enjoy the flight with Bangkok Airways. I personally like the beautiful airport at Samui, the first time when I have been there was in May 1991 and I remember that it was a very little airport, also with a lot of massive wood sculptures. By the way, at that time we arrived at BKK with the Lauda Air B767 from VIE, which crashed exactly one week after our arrival. R.I.P.

I just flew in PG122 on 5 August 2011. Bangkok Airways replaced their B717's with A319's, and A320. I too always hate leaving Samui :(
