How do you compare the Samsung NC10 to the ASUS Eee PC 1000HE Netbook? I was about to buy the Samsung when i saw your video and you have convinced me to buy the ASUS instead!. Great review by the way.

Could you maybe try running Ubuntu Netbook Remix on the Eee PC 1000HE to see how well it runs and if everything like Wi-Fi works out the box? I was planning on buying a Netbook to use Ubuntu on, and the 1000HE seems really impressive with it's long battery life and nice screen and keyboard. Thanks!

I just bought a 1005HA with an n280. I'd also recommend getting a skin or invisible shield for the back since it's so shiny.

Running Windows 7 with full kaspersky security suite and Avira on 2 Gb RAM. Absolutely no problems.

My Samsung NC10 had a 20 second optimized boot time with the N270. You're also wrong about about the bump on the back due to the N280, the newer Samsung netbooks don't have the bumps on the back, uses an N270 and gets more battery life than the 1000HE and weighs less. I bought the 1005HA, there's no difference from the N270 and N280.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the great reviews. I just got a 1000he on the strength of your comments. And so far I love it. I have installed Win7 7100rc, dual boot as you describe, but am having problems using the function keys (volume/screen brightness etc). In one vid you mention compatibility mode, which I found, but can't figure out how to apply it to the function keys!!
Any tips??

Try to install the Vista ACPI drivers to make the Volume Keys work. Just google "Vista ACPI fix eee pc"
If i remember doing it right it has to do with downgrading the recommended chipset driver.

Hay I want to get this netbook over the summer and have one question. Does this have a full(and not trial version) on Microsoft Office?
