Ostad Allaudin Khan was born in Sibpur, BrahmanBaria District of Bangladesh. His family members were/are also prominant musicians in Bangladesh. He early music career started in Mymensing, Bangladesh. Later he moved to Maihar.

true. As far as I know, there was a stage show with Annapurna and Ravi shankar, and rabi shankar's rendition was shaded by that of Annarpurna. Her playing was far finer than anyone at that time.

Wow- so great to see Sharan Rani, she is a rare and incredible talent, does anyone know which raag she is playing here? I wonder if there is a recording available. Thanks for posting this.

I would think they would be hard to come by, because she barely gave any performances with Ravi. I think she was better than Ravi SHankar, and he got jealous of her talents.
