OSX Lion's Mission Control lacks the simple power that Exposé from Snow Leopard possessed, for power users, namely in the way that it groups application windows.

  • Thats not true at all EXPOSE IS THERE STILL THEY ARE 2 DIFF FUNCTIONS!

IF YOU WANT EXPOSE THEN GO TO THE SYSTEM PREFFS AND CLICK ON MISSION CONTROL AND YOU WILL SEE THE OPTION TO ASSIGN A KEY TO EXPOSE AND YOU WILL ALSO SEE THE ABILITY TO SET THE 4 CORNERS !

  • @zellymusic in Lion there are no options for "Expose" in the Mission Control syspref.

  • mission control is the stupidest thing ever

  • @andyzaky Don't hold your breath. Apple doesn't make mistakes this large; smells like Xserve. Dumb down the server OS until desktop users pick it up and sysadmins drop it, then drop the product. It appears Mission Control and Launchpad are harbingers to power users to stay away, because Mac OS 11 won't have a Finder, Dock, or windowed applications except as legacy support. Users want iPad app launching and never to think about the filesystem. Fortunately, Exposé's been cloned in Linux...

  • I have this exact problem. Thanks to Apple's fucking stupidity I cannot now upgrade to a new mac. I am forever stuck with my current mac. I will never be able to buy a new mac for the rest of my life. Until Apple fixes Expose, I'm stuck in Snow Leopard purgatory. So disappointing.

  • same problem i have

  • the new system is called "Missing Control"

  • @biggreencosmos -

they need to bring back Steve first :(

  • linux is king of desktop management now.

options like e16 with scrollable&multi desktops that can also be dragged to see a bit of both as they have clearly tried to allow with the partial drag... or kwin with expose/spaces workalike, or gnome3 which is a bit like this but better...

  • Old expose is sooooo much better!!! Bring it back Steve!
