I don't particularly like having photos of myself with skin like this up on the internet, so I may remove this video at some stage.

I am certainly not say that mineral makeup (in powder form) is bad, but as my skin is very dry, and I obviously have a sensitivity, it didn't agree with my skin. Most foundations actually contain minerals, it's just that the one that I was using didn't work with my skin. I think that a mineral makeup in a liquid form would be much better, as it would have to have some form of moisture in it, and that was one of the issues for me.

When it was really bad, I followed what the dr. told me to do down to a T, - so I didn't do any face scrubs, masks or exfoliating, because I didn't want to risk aggravating it, but I do now give myself one every now and then if I feel like I need a bit of a boost, and get rid of some of those dead skin cell.

Please realise that this may not work for everyone, and in some extreme cases people may need to take further steps to get clear skin, but it can be done, and if you are upset or concerned by it, you should visit a dermatologist to get see if they can put you on a plan.
For me this was a rather extreme step, but it worked, and I am thrilled that my skin is back to normal for me.
You may want to look at what is in your diet, while not the cause, foods that contain glucose, or hot in spicy foods such as chilli can cause bad skin to flare up in some people, although of course not all.

Akamen is the antibiotic that I was taking,
Cetaphil face wash, and moisturiser to cleanse and moisturise my skin,
and Differn cream in the evenings.
I also used an sunscreen that the dermatologist recommend that didn't clog up my pores and suited my skin type, as the Akamen can increase the sensitivity to the sun.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to let me know and good luck :)

  • I was on Roaccutane for 9 months. Sucked.

  • @allthatmcnazz the doctor tried to put me on that, but I didn't want to. I've heard it's pretty nasty. If what I did, didn't work, the dermatologist was thinking of putting me on that, but it was a last resort. Did it help you?

  • @MistiqueMakeup I literally had the worst skin you could imagine. Appalling, cystic acne that was painful and was runing my teenage years. Took Roaccutane, was horrible but now I have lovely skin. It's so soft and have barely had a spot in over 18 months. It's horrible but it works.

  • You look great I had bad skin 2 years ago out of the blue I had a similar treatment programme to you I wished I started it earlier it would have saved me so much money & scars! U look great!

  • lookn good hunni!!
