the other key thing is to have adrenaline and fear take place... I saw a video of a guy freezing during a slight disarm attempt and was lucky the gunman had mercy

@LucienZakhaev As you should be, but just remember that no technique or method is ever completely fool proof. And while learning things like gun defense won't make you invincible, it can help increase your chances of survival in a bad situation. As entertaichi said, the best defense is to not be there, always be cautious. If you are in a place where it looks like a bad situation may occur, leave as quickly as possible.

Great video guys. I Thought I knew how do disarm a gun until I saw the part about how the gunman can counter by turning and stepping back. I also just wanna add that if your hand is on the slide, the chances that the gun will jam are great. I've seen videos of cops getting beat up because this happened and the officer had no back up defense against a real fighter. Just a bonus to an already solid defense.
