Why isnt Dr Offitt advocating the removal of Thimerosol a known neurotoxin? Can Dr Offitt really be trusted? Has he objectively looked at both sides of the argument? Has he read "Evidence of Harm? I certainly have and the evidence is overwhelming that Mercury is bad for you and causes all types of neurological impairment.

This is a great book. I highly recommend it to all parents, especially parents with kids with autism.

The Amish dont get vaccinated often. Only a few get vaccines. Autism is not an issue for them. The only ones with autism are vaccinated. SIDS rates also increases around the ages kids typically get vaccines.

Dr Paul Offit will be interviewed on AWA Blog Talk radio on Aug 3 at 2pm central. AWA supports Dr Paul A Offit.

Thanks to his book, he has shown the world who the antivaccinationist wackos really are: Over-emotional, hysterical conspiracy nuts.

The book is excellent. The science is explained in a way that lay people can understand and the corrupt doctors and scientists who take advantage of peoples fears to line their own pockets are exposed for what they are.
Highly recommended

What is your proof of industry ties? I would have to assume that you have something against Thimersal use in vaccines? Sure he is a co-inventor of the rotavirus vaccine....but do you have some information that this contains Thimerosal? My understanding is that this is a live vaccine and Thimerosal is never used in live vaccines because it makes them ineffective.

just like his vaccine has? How can anyone trust someone who profits from vaccination to be honest about the dangers of vaccination?
That is like saying Marlboro has YOUR best interest at heart with all those ads...
I just finished reading this excellent book. My son has autism and I fully support vaccination. I also attended the Burton/Waxman hearings in the Senate. There is no provable connection between vaccines and autism. However there are many parents who just don't seem to be able to accept that their child has (probably a genetic) disease and want to blame anything.
Well done Dr Offit and shame on Andrew Wakefield, the so called 'doctor' taking back handers from personal injury lawyers.

I am a parent of a child with autism and I wholeheartedly support Dr. Offit and his colleagues' work in debunking the false information that vaccines cause autism. I am angry that scarce research resources continue to be allocated to studies of this vaccine issue when it's been disproven. I am also angry that people are being convinced to not vaccinate their children, thereby putting their children and many others at risk for diseases that we had been erradicated. Good work Dr. Offit!
