What happen to this coaster?
-
@blacksongster Not really. Coasters before this were converted to stand up rides. Also, the trains are gone, and I believe the track is, too.

King Cobra was the granddaddy of ALL stand-up coasters!! Probably the only thing that TOGO did right!! LOL! If not for this pioneering coaster there would be no Mantis, Iron Wolf, Shockwave (which is the oldest one still operating), or Green Lantern!! We have alot to thank for the KING COBRA!! *side note* It would be GREAT if Cedar Fair went back in that storage shed behind Flight of Fear and reassembled the King Cobra for the 2012 season!! But I guess that's wishful thinking. : /

-
Thanks. my 1st time going was after it was torn down
-
@PinkNation44 Really?!? I was there Saturday and could have sworn Son of Beast was still there!
-
nobody died on this ride...,idiot!
they couldn't keep it open due to issues with getting parts for the ride.
-
both king cobra and son of a beast are torn down.
-
sucks that they took this down
i wish they hadn't closed king cobra. it looks rly fun. if it was dangerous, they could've torn it down and rebuilt it. but oh well.

it's only dangerous to the cliché soccer mom types that come to KI once every 20 years. they make up a story how they got hurt and the ride gets shut down...yeah it probably doesn't have a thing to do with the fact they are out of physical shape of any kind that even walking around the park about kills them.
