  • Perhaps hes not a fighter. I am convinced you do not know much about the martial arts. You do realize that being a fighter is entirely pointless. Your fighting other humans in a ring for others entertainment. Might as well join a circus. Taijichuan is about more than fighting. It is about keeping yourself in shape and learning to coordinate your movements and appreciate things. I prefer being at peace and being able to fight if the need be. I do not want to wake up to pain killers every morning.

  • Perhaps he sees that fighting is only a way to harm others. If I need to harm you, I am going to harm you in the way I know how... but I am not going to hurt you for money and the appeasement of a crowd. Go and lock yourself in a cage surrounded by 1000's. Be famous and then when you lose you will become known as the loser. The best fighter is the one that avoids fame and knows he can beat the best. And to top it all off, The Wu dang Spar daily. Its part of their 10 hour training per day.

  • @BaguazhangMaster well said =)

  • I love the wudang robes. Probably my favorite of all the kung-fu attire.

  • He is not even tongqi (通气)so I don't see how he can be referred to as an "extremely high level master." He is not very rooted, he has good physical ability but his qi is not that impressive.

  • @BaguazhangMaster

Also, I will add… "Fighting" in a ring for sport is not fighting at all, it is a wast of time if you are really interested in true martial arts. Sparing should be a part of training, but with no pads and as little restraint as is possible. Pads and to much restraint cause bad habits and the chi in a sparing session will be much different making it far less of an effective experience. Real shaolin and wu dang do not resemble sanda at all.

  • @BaguazhangMaster

You are wrong, taijichuan is only about fighting. The things you mention are just the positive side effects of training to fight. The intent is to learn fighting through coordinated movement, those movements are specifically designed to kill or maim an attacker. If it were about enlightenment or something to that effect all one needs to learn is proper meditation.

  • I like wudang quan, it is sensual and clean.

  • Extremely high level master whose full speed moves rootedness and smooth power among the best I've viewed on YouTube. Thank you for posting.

  • @kungfufreddy i understandwhat your saying at the last paragraph only people that practice martial arts dont have to go around fighting all the time the difference between martial arts and tennis is that in tennis people dont get hurt or killed martial arts was ment to bring harm. when he has to fight he will fight but in the temple he gets to perfect his forms he might have no intentions of fighting but practiceing the art of the beauty not the fights

  • Top move.

  • Beautiful form.
