MEAT LOAFS AWESOME 3 BATS TOUR The mighty voice rip-roars through the songs from the
Bat trilogy with all the power of a jumbo-jet tearing down a runaway and blasting
into a hell-raising takeoff. Here is another Meat Loaf performance that goes far
enough to make the original studio recordings sound timid
(listen out for "Objects In The Rear View Mirror",
"Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through" and "Bat Out Of Hell").

"You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth" and "Blind As A Bat"
are amongst the songs to be missing segments - pity that they should be somewhat
'incomplete' when they are sounding this good. It doesn't really matter that
Meat Loaf doesn't always hit the notes like he once did (he was still recovering from illness)
or that he survives
the chorus of "Blind As A Bat" with the help of a backing track because what
he does sing, when he really goes for it, is all there.

I saw this show when the tour arrived in London, England by which point
"Paradise By The Dashboard Light" had found a few great gags and
"I'd Do Anything For Love" had a franticly awesome new opening
arrangement (all of which are not present for this show).
John Miceli's drum beats are pure rock, delivered like an earth quake
bulging through an intravenous drip. The cover songs at the end are fine,
but if Meat had the energy (and he does) it would be nice to hear him
perform his own classics, after all, he has plenty more of those that aren't
included on here. The show is superbly filmed and includes plenty
of sweeping camera angles and a feeling that you're up on the stage next to him.

  • man how bout some fukn appreciation on the effort he puts into his singing, we all get older, he could just rest on his old ass at home, but no he gets up and gives more than all. you dont see the effort at musicianship that was once the norm, today

  • @bad4365 thank you, i couldnt have put it better myself, so many assholes keep putting down his performance, no fucking respect, but i think he does an outstanding job, he still blows away most of the shit that passess for talent these days.

  • @chebachaka he a cyst in his throat, he had an operation to have it removed a few days before the tour, now take that into consideration, and with all things considered, he sounds great

  • @hunkydorey2 he never had the cist removed..it just went away on its own...hes just getting old

  • @bazzill69 ive sent you a link with the headlines from 2007 about meatloaf having a vocal cord cyst, and having it removed

  • Im in love with Aspen.. My irish Heart . Marry me aspen..

  • Thank you for these videos, love them :)

  • Ok first, this is not a negative comment and it is not directed towards anybody specific. If any one person has something negative to say about this man they are either just plain to young to understand what great musical talent this man belts out of his mouth or something happen to you early in life... like maybe when u were a baby u were dropped on ur head. Meatloaf is like what James Brown was to soul music...THE FATHER OF SOUL/THE HARDEST WORKIN PERFORMER ON STAGE. THANX MEATLOAF

  • Aspen Miller is fit as fuck!

  • you can really tell hes very passionate

  • His diction's not the same live but the notes he sings are none the less beautiful and powerful and he ought to be admired for it

  • He is soo good, even though he's getting old :D

I'm only 16 and I love his music XD

  • MEAT should be in the Hall of Fame. Along with Jim Steinman, a pioneer of symphonic rock and a crime he's never even been nominated.

  • Ok he don't sound great, but after 40yrs singing his heart and soul out what do you expect! Meatloaf is a legend ans one of the best singer's/performers there ever has been. So just lay off, for fuck sake!
