http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1254447 If you like to learn more. This video was a lot of fun to make; especially because I didn't have to worry about it sinking it's watertight. It has great agility so it can go pretty wild in the water. I modified the Reef Racer. I added a Madusa 28-40-1700kv 1800mah 3cell lipo. I took this video on Griffey Lake in Indiana.

  • What kind of brushless system did you use? I see the Novak 380 BL is like $260, and the new Traxxas Velion 380 is about $150, I think I'm going to try the traxxas. I have a Losi Lipo that I use to run in my mini-t, and I bought a new traxxas 380 18 turn titan motor, and burned it up the first day out. I also got a metal prop, wow, don't hit the bottom, bent my shaft line already too. Waiting for parts to run again. Good video.

Sorry for the late response. You can learn more on what I did, just click on the link in the description for this video and it will take you there.

  • lol, wtf, u got a camera on a pulled system? that is an awesome filming idea! very nice shots of the boat and great video! and it sure is fast! looks very stable too!

  • @earthling1984

Great thanks for the complement. I made a foam raft for the camera but I couldn't have the boat go to fast it would be a very jittery video, but it worked and it kept the boat in the shot on turns pretty good too. Yes I got pretty creative with this scene and yes boat is pretty fast and you can go pretty wild with it and not have to worry about losing it.:-)

  • where did you get the battery I've looked everywhere and couldn't find it because I want to mod my RR2 to be like urs

  • @MegaGoldenguy The battery is a 1800mAh 18C 3cell (generic lipo) that came with a plane (MX-2). The dimension of the battery was 4”x 1 3/8”x 1”. Try to find those dimensions

  • @desuslord use water cooled marine esc not one from a car... 25 amp esc smallest marine brushless they make and 2 cell lipo should do it

  • Very Nice video, thanks for sharing it!

  • How exactly did you supercharge it?

  • I've got to do this on my rr2 =)
