The first Gore-Tex climbing jacket and pants ever made in Europe were developed by Norrøna in 1979, and used by Doseth, Nesheim and Svanemyr for the first winter ascent of Svenskeruta in the 1000+ meter vertical Trollveggen, "The Troll Wall".
