Although I think were both on the same side of this issue, I think you method of insulting an entire nation of people isn't helping create sympathy for your cause.

I'm sure that there are many, if not most, Turks who are wishing the Iranian protesters well.

I learned that lesson when I saw footage of thousands of Iranians having candle light vigils the day after 9/11.

If the American government tried to rig an election and reacted toward its citizens like Iran has towards theirs, there WOULD be violence.

I'm sure the same would be for any country that has not already been terrorized into paralysis (N Korea, Saddam's Iraq). And rightly so. If you are not prepared to kill or be killed for your rights, you are inviting others to take them away.

These Iranians are fighting to keep their rights.

How come these kids speak English so fluently? Even their placards are in English. Except for some who seek more social and political freedom, it seems to me that the majority are adamant to overthrow the regime, perhaps with some help from the US tax-payer funds -- to the tune of $75 million dollars -- allocated for democracy promotion (i.e., regime change) in Iran. The majority of Iranians do not want regime change, nor do they support breaking the law by burning private and public property

Dear chodaboy51500> I agree with you except for one point. Wanting democracy is one thing but violence is totally a different thing. These people are putting fire to government and private property. If this happens in the US, or anywhere else in Europe, you think the police will kiss them? Theyll be dealt with brutally. And when they go to jail, the prisoners -- mostly bad-ass criminals -- will literally fuck them again and again until cows come home.
