@southkid1992 You didn't miss much. I saw them open for Tom Petty in 1989 when they were plenty drunk. Unfortunately, they sucked. They played 3 songs with about 5 minutes of idle talk between each song. Not what I hoped for...

@southkid1992 I saw them 40ish times, when they ran the gamut from drunk, semi drunk, the brief smack period and almost sober. The downside is that no matter how many times I go see Paul now, I know that I'll never see the 'Mats again. I was lucky enough to see the Clash, the 70s stones, Nirvana - Nothing was like seeing the Mats.
