There is no one like Colm Wilkinson. He IS "The Phantom" and I was so lucky to have seen him perform it.

I quite agree. No singer has done the Phantom better. His voice has just the right mix of beauty and ghoulishness to make his rendition brilliant.

the thing about colm is when he is out of practice he isn't that great but when he is doing a show he is just incredible, you have to see colm playing the phantom live to truly appreciate how good he is, these variety shows with him doing music of the night arnt that great but when he sang it live in 1989 when he played the phantom it was just phonomenal and truely the best ive heard, no question

If you've ever seen Colm Wilkinson in Les Miz or Phantom, you won't forget it! His presence and voice are so distinctive and intense, you're rooted to your seat. Bravo.

I've got a question abaut Colm... Was he performed Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar in the UK or everywhere?

Gyula Vikidál - the Jean Valjean of the Original Cast of the hungarian Les Miserables- performed Pilate on Hungarian Jesus Chist Superstar cast. And Sándor Sasvári -who was Marius in "Les Miserables" was Jesus in it. So thtat's why I'm aksed it.

I saw Colm Wilkinson as the Phantom in Toronto years ago and I must say his voice is much better suited than Crawford's no disrespect to a great actor as Crawford.
