My version of the guitar for Muse's "Plug In Baby"

GEAR:-
Guitar: Home made "Strat" with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails (Bridge), Vintage Rails (Middle) and Cool Rails (Neck).

Effects: Z.Vex Fuzz Factory, Digitech Whammy (+8ve harmony setting), Electro Harmonix Small Clone, Electro Harmonix Pulsar Tremolo

Amp: Marshall AVT50

BACKING:
My guitar is D.I'd (from my amp) into my pc to get a better sound-I played over a midi track taken from GuitarPro.

what settings do you have on your fuzz factory ( Comp, Gate, Drive and stab)? I would like to get my fuzz factory to sound like yours. Awsome cover by the way!

Thanks man! Obviously the sound you get will vary due to your set up and pick ups etc. but you should be able to achieve the same sort of sound... The settings I have are roughly;

Gate: 8 o'clock

Comp: 1 o'clock

Drive: 7 o'clock

Stab: 2 o'clock

What do you think of the rails? I'm considering the hot and cool for my bridge and neck respectively on my mexican standard. Well worth it or what?

Thanks!! Personally I like the Hot/Vintage/Cool Rails combo-the sound I get is basically a 'strat on steroids'! As with anything though, it's all down to preference, so if you can, try some out for yourself... I've been looking into 'Bare Knuckle' pickups-they look pretty damn awesome, so I'd recommend checking them out too.

woah wait howd you connect the amp to the pc? if i try that, the sound is so distorted. howd yours sound so nice? =D

My amp (Marshall AVT50) has an 'emulated output' jack at the back which I hook up to my 'Edirol UA-4FX' audio interface, which goes to my PC-it's a pretty basic setup but seems to work well enough! I guess a lot of it has to do with your amp?...Hope this helps.
