  • If you got heavy trees, then it's way to hard to hold them, without a feeding bed, or some sort of support for the trees.

  • @jnse78 The maximum diameter of wood is 8". Normally they are made to 3m length. If you are doing thinning then the trees are up to 8". Bigger wood can not be processed with this machine. Heavy is relative here. You have to put one side of the wood on the feed bed and hold the wood from the other end. This way you don´t have to hold the whole weight of it . If you hold it from the center (most of them do) then it can be quite physical work. There for is a User Manual but who reads that :)

  • The reason is very simple. What about crooked and twisted wood ? Also the price and extra equipment. The ides of Klapi-Tuiko is to keep it simple as possible. We could add the automatic feeding bed or even hydraulic feeding but it is not worth it. At the end of the day we should be able to sell the machine too. So that's the reason Klapi-Tuiko has been almost the same for 30 years.

  • They can cut a 8" wood and start from 3041 EUR

  • This would be a lot easier to use if it had a feed bed for the log.

  • @rotory2002

It would also be much easier if I just could push a "button". The machine construction does not allow a cheap solution for the feed bed unfortunately. More comfortable it would be of course. But this processor has to be kept as simple as possible and affordable. In the past 30 years there have been close 11 000 pcs made of Klapi-Tuiko and sold more than 25 different countries. This machine has its niche. You will realize this if you have forest yourself or doing some thinning.
