Phillip....that is our system....whether YOU happen to like it or not.
The Founders kicked around the idea of dividing "presidential" power around between a number of people......but ultimately decided to put ALL of that power into the hands of one guy.
That IS the system. I suppose you would now transfer your "ego" statement to Adams and Jefferson.

I just watched the best documentary in my life. It is an HBO show called: Shouting Fire. It is all about the first amendment. A must see for all. I think it should be mandatory viewing for every school in America. I still have goose bumps.

A. President of the United states, 1 President, all of the executive power, not some of it, not part of it, not the parts that Congress does not want to exercise itself, that is all that it refers too!
If that last statement does not give you a picture of this guys egotistical soul, nothing will. Cheney and Addington probably got along just fine! That little quote is EXACTLY how the last administration was run!
