I think this has been wrongly subtitled. He says "half extreme poverty" not "have extreme poverty". It's the Irish accent which confuses the issue.

The problem with people today is that they don't know how to sustain their money. Yet, year after year Bono raises millions. Some of it his own money and other money through the charities he creates.
