You negative ass people have never been around or been affected by someone with Down's. If you had you would not talk about Chip like you do. They are the most loving people I have ever been around. They don't judge, why should you? Be thankful for what you haven, you selfish pricks! Way to go Chip!

Sfgiantsfan921, it really doesn't matter if it was 'legit' or not. Chip scored a 75-yard rushing touchdown. He will remember it for his whole life. Everyone else knows they helped him, but to Chip it would be like winning the Superbowl

Chip had more rushing yards on this play, than my whole high school career. Awesome story.

Yeah, I mean, I'm not saying that anybody was being intentionally mean or anything, so I guess it comes down to whether the kid really thinks the touchdown was "legit" and would be upset if he knew they let him score. Maybe he knows anyway, or doesn't care. I've seen worse things, that's for damn sure.

idk i thought it was iffy at first, but when you really think about it, he must have been elated. i work with mentally challenged children. many downs syndrome children are also handicapped in terms of intelligence, and just by the nature of that being true they get incredibly excited at things they do that are positive, even if to us it doesnt seem like such a big deal (such as scoring a touchdown with no one chasing him). but it probably made his universe, and im happy that he got to do that.

I just saw this for the first time today and am very impressed with the kind gesture coordinated by both teams. The point forgotten in this whole debate is not simply normal athletes vs. disabled athletes, but also that they are KIDS! Doing something like this for a student in his last year of school is pretty darn cool in my book.
