@Maxwilhouse I can definitely not disagree with that... but it is not ALL of them. I can't fucking stand Lil wayne. he's a terrible rapper. But I LOVE rap music, depending on the artist, and i can appreciate it as a genre. And ratatat is awesome. Also, just one more thing... Not all songs have to tell a story or be meaningful to be a good song. Rock music is a good example of that. haha i'm glad this isn't turning into one of those ridiculous youtube comment flame wars...

@MKiller5 well really what i mean is people who only APPRECIATE one genre of music. People can listen to whatever they damn well please, but as long as they realize that the genre they like best isn't the only one that takes skill to make, they are not closed-minded. So as long as you can at least appreciate the skill it takes (usually) to make movies of other genres, you aren't closed-minded.

@MarinatedTenderloins your are 100% right, but you can´t disagree with me that a lot of artist´s how make this kind of music aren't trying to make there music to be deep and meaningful, the same goes for artists like lil wayne, there is no massage in his song´s, he only talks about weed, money and hoes. but there are great song´s of this genre, my personal favorite being cherry by ratatat that song tells a story... but i realize how i came of as a little ignorant with my first comment

@Maxwilhouse no, you mixed my words up. I said people who ONLY listen to pop and hip hop are closed minded, just like anybody who ONLY listens to rock or electronic music is. And if this kind of music doesn't give you some kind of feeling or sense of meaning/emotion/whatever then idk what's wrong with you but any music has the power to do that.
