Snow Day : A Mini Animation

I made this mini film as a tribute to those fleeting days that every kid in Canada hopes for with the arrival of winter: snow days!

I assembled this film using Windows Movie Maker.

@JustinBasl Thanks! I coloured and compiled all the cells in Photoshop, then slotted them into Windows Movie Maker. It's a very poor man's workflow.

That is so cool. How'd you do that? I would love to be able to do that. I am only in my first year as an animator, but idk how to do nuttin yet:( I hope u get back with me.

Thanks, Anayden! Well, since I don't have any dedicated animation software, I did it the slow,hard way. First I drew the character animation on normal computer paper. Then I traced over my sketches on fresh sheets using a blue writing pen. I scanned the frames in and coloured them in Photoshop. I painted backgrounds and scanned that into Photoshop. Then I layered each character frame onto the backgrounds in Photoshop and saved each as a different JPEG frame. Then I slotted them into WMM.
