  • You guys can all talk about safety, but if your horse really trust you, like the horse and the girl in this movie, you don't need a helmet. Beacause the girl has her own safety in her own hand!

  • thanks ;)

  • Sorry but for games I found this boring, I have held clinics with games much better fun than this, other than that ,, beautiful horse

  • A woman came to ride with me out in a large paddock, she claimed to know everything about Parelli and didn't need a bridle, saddle nor a helmet. She trusted her horse.

About 5 minutes into the ride the horse bolted off towards some brumbies and left her flat on her ass, it all might be fine and dandy in an arena but where it really matters you're pretty much screwed.

  • @BeyondChaos64 I'm pretty sure if a horse died because someone was trying to practice trailer loading the parelli way, they were doing it wrong.

  • @anneneneniek oh i agree the trust and relationship between you and the horse minimizes the risk of "horse freaking out" then you fall, but yea i always wear one, and a body protecter when i go XC

  • @GoldenLuckyCharm in fact I disagree my own opinion now. it's been 3 years ago and in that time i was really into parelli.

Well i still stick to the fact that if your horse trust you and you trust your horse you don't really need to wear a helmet. In fact you're not wearing one when someone else is driving the car right?

But i think a helmet is always good (i never ride without them) because indeed, there can always happen something like a disbalance or whatever. :(

  • @anneneneniek ...I'm going through the parelli levels and i still disregard the "don't wear a helmet" idea. I've seen perfectly calm left brain horses just flat out lose their balance if nothing else.

  • Seriously people! Get your facts right! If you don't know anything about Parelli, don't comment about it. It's called thinking before you speak. Pat and Linda Parelli are exquisite horseman's. The whip is not called a "whip" either. It's just an extension of your arm. The horse doesn't look at it as something harmful. This program builds trust with the horse and the rider. There really isn't any judgement necessary.

  • @Maude1717 I was always taught you should only wear a hat according to how much you think your head is worth!

  • @IadyTimpani12 You are so right, its not a whip, its an extension of your arm, to help navigate the horse, its not meant to harm the horse or disipline, it is just like your hand would, if you puty your hand in the air to tell your horse to stop for an example.

  • Parelli is great! love your video! it's amazing
