  • Sadly people with BDD seek plastic surgery instead of psychiatric help.

  • Ever since I moved-out to LA for school, people asked me where I got my lips and nose done....coming from mid-west I was like....what, omg you shallow people! Now it just feels like the norm. haha....I am not even in the industry.

  • I don't get it.... Dr. Phil says "you have a distorted body and self image and you need to get that looked at".... UM aren't you the psychologist thats suppose to be providing the help she needs?

  • Great example of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (an emotionally debilitating OCD spectrum disorder) which is finally being understood (and treated) as a psych disorder. Thankfully, reputable plastic surgeons recognize this and won't operate on individuals suffering from BDD, who will never be satisfied with their appearance.
