My favourite tarp setup or configuration. Used especially in the winter.

  • doesn't the smoke get trapped in the setup? just like in your "woodland crib" mtv cribs spoof..

  • @quintin636

If the smoke gets trapped then so does the heat. As I said this is my favourite winter shelter and therefore trapping the heat is my main concern. Also if I am laying down then the smoke is not a problem.

  • I like that setup also. I usually use a stick to dig a small trench to make to the rainwater flows away from the backside.

  • @oregonmikes Thats is a great idea Mike. I have never done that, but will do in future. I do cover the back edge to seal any holes and to keep the wind out.

  • What are the specs on your tarp, Sean? Is your tarp fire retardant?

  • @enjoythewildUSA

This tarp is one you buy from home depot. They are not fire retardant. Cheap but tough. $9.00
