What do you really know about Israel? :)

The goal of this presentation is to provide a brief summary for those who don't have the time to go into the deeper details of the conflict, and also for those who see Israel as the warmonger of the Middle East and a cruel aggressor. This presentation was created on a volunteer basis to promote a better understanding of the current situation in the Middle East.

@fab006 Sure Israel wants peace, but it also occupies Palestine (something it has no intention of giving up). fab006, I don't know where you are from, but imagine a foreign force and people displacing you from your home and occupying your land. I am sure you would be saddened and furious, as would I. I am native american (Indian) and I know how it feels. The bottom line is, Israel claimed a land illegally and immorally, and the Palestinians have every right to be angry.

@brabanthallen You're being dishonest. The video does in fact show how the occupation came about (It's at 3:26 ), and why it was necessary in self-defense. The video goes on to explain why it is that the occupation hasn't ended. If what Israel wanted really wasn't peace but aggrandizement, how come the Sinai was given back to Egypt?

Also, if China came to be occupying America under similar circumstances, I'd have to agree that they do in fact seek peace...

It's a shame that historical information cannot be presented without a slant. Bias has no place in presenting simple historical information. How is it that this video claims that Israel "seeks peace" while it illegally occupies land belonging not to itself? Military occupation amounts to living under a radical dictatorship...how is that considered "peace"? Imagine China occupying part of the US with its military and then claiming, "We seek only peace." Not very believable, huh?

thank god for this video. I've had a hard time finding the real history and I've had to sift through a lot of bullshit for truth because of Palestinians/Muslims/ and wannabe arab Muslims who put out a bunch of propaganda on the internet, you never know what to believe.

If Israel truly "seeks peace" with the Palestinians it should : Get out of the West bank (which it continues to occupy, in clear violation of international law) . Stop depending utterly on "Uncle Sam" to veto ALL the UN resolutions regarding (mis) treatment of Palestinians, Realise that Jerusalem has historically ALWAYS been a "shared" city. Lastly, understand that not every Palestinian is a terrorist (the 2 words are often & deliberately confused). That'd be a start!
