This was an entirely justifiable (and hilarious) rebuttal to the petty shit Kiedis pulled, via having them pulled off a major tour they were booked for months in advance, because of 'Californication' and 'California' having clashing release dates. You pull rock star antics like that, expect a reaction. Kiedis also whined that Patton was ripping off 'his' style and antics. Funny, coming from a guy whose band were ripping off the Big Boys.

I have met Mike Patton, and yes, he is a total asshole....but he's a brilliant, talented musician/composer...you don't have to like someone personally to enjoy their music, and if you feel as if you do, then you are'nt respecting the creation. Music isn't a popularity contest; at least it should'nt be. With that said, I think Anthony Keidis sucks. Ever seen RHCP live? It's embarrassing. He can't sing without studio magic, regardless of being a good composer.
