THIS BRILLIANT TECHNOLOGY WAS INVENTED AND PATENTED BY PAUL WINSTON IN 1993! THE INFORMATION BELOW WAS STATED 18 YEARS AGO!

Winston International Corporation, a designer of systems for building and transporting manufactured housing, has designed and developed innovative technology, which protects people, their housing, automobiles, and all of their precious belongings against devastating floods. This is particularly important in the face of the floods in the southeastern states of our country today. This patented technology has been designed by professional architects, marine and structural engineers. The invention is called the Winston Landlocked Floating House. The system is composed of telescoping piers set in concrete anchors supporting a catamaran floatation base attached to one, two, or three story buildings. These structures will rise above any recorded flood, and float back to their original positions as the flood recedes. This technology has been fully tested by accredited testing laboratories using computer testing methods. Test results state that any Winston house can be analyzed for any geographical area to withstand floods up to five feet above the recorded 500 year level. The Winston MISSION is to convince the public and the builders of the world that future flood disasters now have a viable solution. The opportunity to save victims and taxpayers billions of dollars is now at hand. We encourage our readers to visit our website at www.floodproofhousing.com and see the verifiable information that proves how one mans vision can solve the heartbreak of flooding disasters. ANOTHER NOTE:
PAUL WINSTON HAS NOW ALSO DESIGNED AN ADDITION ONTO HIS ANCHOR SYSTEM THAT MAKES IT EARTH QUAKE RESISTANT!

HE DOSEN'T TAKE CREDIT FOR HIS BRILLIANT INVENTIONS, HE ADMITS THAT IT IS GOD WHO SHARED THEM WITH HIM.

  • If the Winston floating home can endure floods, can it endure hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, and volcanoes as well? What if the polar icecaps melt due to global warming and floods are like around a mile high or something?

  • @dafranx

If Winstons floating homes only endure floods that would still mean that lives and thousands of homes would be saved........ why would anyone not appreciate that?

  • So no basement? What if there was a pressurized door that could be used for a basement that would keep the water out. The house floating idea is to keep the house itself safe, but what about the family, are they truly safe in the house during a flood? Especially when debris of any sort could crash into the house killing innocent people (hopefully not). If they were underground in a waterproof pressurized basement with extra oxygen they would be much safer. Tell this 20 year, million dollar inve

  • @sensimi11a Honey, you are so right! Everyone also needs shelters to protect them during storms and Paul Winston also designed Tornado Shelters! His Flood Proof FLoating homes would have saved so many buildings on the Mississippi river and his Tornado Shelters would have saved lives all over our nation!

  • If someone, somewhere would join Paul Winston in building these flood proof homes it would help us survive the floods!

  • What a fucked idea. Just build an elevated house in the first place instead of trying to re-invent the wheel.

  • i thought of this 20 years ago

  • Hello I recently experienced the Iligan flash flood here in the Philippines about 7 days ago and we lost our home. My question about this is what about the debris. This was actually one of the main sources for our 1k+ deaths this week. Also what about debris under the house when the water levels lower? Thanks!

  • @imowtflol oh yeah let me just build a house on a big rock... its not that easy..

  • @imowtflol I realize this reply is 9 mos old but I just had to comment back to the poster.

Foe one this IS NOT "A f''d idea" . The idea of floating homes has been around for ages. I live on a lake thats levels constantly fluctuate of ranges upwards of +- 40 ft. There are many many many house floats on this lake mine being one of them. So saying this is a f''d idea is extremely closed minded of you.

  • Continued .

As for building on stilts well that is fine if you know exactly how high the water will get and in some cases you dont mind your house being 30 ft off the ground. So, imowtflol, go read a book or two before you embarrass yourself further.

  • @ptalley100 ...and yes, brick homes may also become flood proof because the floataion systems are based on the necessary bouyance required to allow the house to rise in the water, not flood....Let us build you one honey!

  • @supaderp Honey, Paul was talking about the river flooding that we have been experiencing on the Mississippi River (and he has had many flood victims contact him regarding rebuilding their homes with his Flood Proof systems). I pulled up that flash flood video you mentioned and that was really sad! I just wondered why more of those vehicles wern 't moved prior to the Flooding.

The columns do not lift the house, the water does. The columns allow the house to rise but remain "Land Locked"!
