The oldest Dragonboat Team in North America, The Villages Leathernecks, won the 200 meter races in the 50+ division at the US National Dragonboat Championships held in Chattanooga, Tennessee July 23-25, 2010. The Leathernecks is comprised primarily of retired US Marines who live in The Villages, Florida. They also took the silver medal in the 500- and 1000-meter races.
