Presiding Bishop Mark Hanson shares an invitation to those going, and thinking about going, to the 2009 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana.
"Differently abled" and "multicultural center": could there be anything more boring and vapid and typically Mainline Protestant that these tedious and self-important words? If given the choice between summer in New Orleans and root canal, I'd go for root canal anytime. In fact, I'd take root canal over church anytime.
@andrewflatt17 you were born in 1988? Cause that's when the ELCA began-its long, slow decline. By 2045, by Hanson's own account, the last ELCA member will be dead.
Haha, my mistake. My friend told me I had spelled it wrong when I spelled it like you did. And I still think it's odd that a lot of people were from the north. It took forever, but we finally found another church from Texas.
I'm glad you loved our city! I was part of the only church from New Orleans there. It was great having so many people come and help the city. Hopefully you come back one day.

Mark Hanson: shut up and go away. You are neither a Lutheran, and certainly not Christian.
