50 Million years is hardly 'suddenly', even on an evolutionary timescale. And what they forget to mention is that the Cambrian Explosion happened ALL under water. No land-dwellers where present during or at the end of it, they all evolved later on.

It was simply the result of 3 billion years of life evolving: after passing a certain threshold things excellerated.... and many species where short lived, replaced by better suited ones... just like evolution predicts...

Actually PE doesn't describe rapid evolution. It describes different modes of speciation which can reflect in the fossil record as abrupt appearances.

And the Cambrian can best be described as an era where the phenomenon of fossilization became a much more probable event since this is when hard bodies and skeletons made their first appearances out of the simpler soft bodied types. These superior body plans became established and it's been an evolutionary arms race ever since.

@simpsonmark That already refuted. We have found many sponge embryo fossil. If a sponge fossil can be found, we should found fossilized animal if they are exist before cambrian. but they don't. Cambrian is really an explosion. from all one cellular organism then suddenly to all phyla.
