A research team led by professor Jun'ichi Ushiba of the Keio University Biomedical Engineering Laboratory has developed a BCI system - which stands for brain-computer interface - that lets the user walk an avatar through the virtual world that is Second Life without using mouse, keyboard or any other controller but the power of thought.

  • So Professor When will we be able to control my 20ghz computer with my mind? When can we purchase technology like this? Is my best bet to build my own? The new computers with Graphene processors work around 1000 times faster then present day silicon processors, leaving the doors to realtime speech to text, and realtime applications,

    but i'm sure this is only fun in lag-free areas. in most parts of SL this would probably be even more frustrating than normal movement control at this moment ...
