Snow Leopard - Whistler, BC

Ghanaian Olympic Skier "Snow Leopard" visits the year-round destination Whistler, BC this summer. He joins Tourism British Columbia Field Reporter Chris Wheeler and checks out Blackcomb Glacier and the Peak 2 Peak alpine experience! Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong, a skier who has been nicknamed the snow leopard, will serve as Ghana's one-man ski team in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada. The Snow Leopard and his family had a great time in Whistler doing summer activities! Make sure to look for this guy ripping down the slopes in 2010 in his snow leopard suit!

He is like a Jesus of the Olympics. There was no place for him to stay in Whistler. He stays 33km away in Pemberton City, where some good ppl offered him whole lodge for free.

good job, kwame! still hard to believe someone from Ghana actually qualified for the winter olympics, finished the 1st run at the olympics and wasn't even last. and to top it all off, he's only been skiing for 6 years. pretty damn impressive :)
