  • Nice video mate. How long ago was that video made? I sail with BP as well and the freefall lifeboat launching is always a laugh, even better if you get a shot at driving the FRC.

  • December 2006 ish. Yea it a good laugh, the Captain made sure everyone got to drive the FRC

  • question, how do you get up the stern boat again??

  • The A frame moves out and the boat is winched back up into the slide, ready to drop again.

  • Hey, I'm looking at going to one of the Eastern US maritime schools, SUNY or either of the MMA's (Maine and Mass) or, last resort, GLMA. Any advice/ recommendations?

  • Hey Cap, I'm Irish so I would have no idea which one of your Maritime schools to recommend. All I can say is Have a good social life there, College is the best time of your life, I miss it, but working here at sea is great, i have loads of money to spend when i get home. you should get the same Qualification out of which ever you pick so make life as easy on yourself while your there. I don't know if i'm being any help?

I'm looking for a similar type of field to get into while here in the UK. my captain and relief pilot both wrote/give me letters of recommendation so... HOPEFULLY hahhah anyway I'm ranmbling like usual. Peace!
