This is an awesome addendum/ new version. To have Waco before the Start the Fire lyrics was really creative, and "Columbine blown away" was quite moving. If you could post the lyrics somewhere and link it to the video, it would make for a spectacular teaching tool.

This is the best remake I've seen yet. Keep it up.

1992 = BARCELONA! :(
PD: good job with the rest :P

Plus, this version completly disregards the point of the song, in Billy Joel's version- he's trying to make the point that people were blaming his generation for all the issues going on the world. So he wrote the song saying how he and his generation didn't start the fire, but were the ones who were responsible for fighting it. This is just an update over the last ten years and has no significance or point. But good job never the less.

Although I do like this, the Billy Joel version is definately the best.

I know, what I must do, create my own version. And yes, it will be up to date.

You did a great Job. I love this song and it´s better than all the other cover-crap right here on youtube. Your Version is fantastic! Greetings from Germany!

Fantastic video. I'm just 19 years old and therefore doesnt know every reference that is given by the song, but at least it also inspires me to find out what these events exactly where.
Thanks Billy Joel and Patrick Wilson :)

Nice, I thought that was actually Billy Joel at first XD

Great job! I'll maybe make one soon myself.
This is great. I wish schools would make their students watch this in history class. As a Teacher of History, this is great work. Thank you.

@AviationguyAlex Thank you. Its funny you mention that because that is exactly why I made it. I was taking a Modern US history class at NKy University and the instructor required a digital media project. He said he may use it in the future as well. I wasn't a typical student (35yrs) and found that most of the 19/20yr olds didn't recognize much of the material. Its a great overview and segway to modern history, which I think is what Billy Joel intended
