I cannot say that I have seen THIS ad, but there is a commercial similar to that one here in the states. It shows a young girl doing photo editing saying that she is doing this all by herself. It's propaganda. Hell, I would almost go so far as to say that it's probably not that much easier for a 7 year old to use iPhoto. Could this be done on both sides? Of course, but to advertise it just makes no sense, do something more realistic.

The advertisement was adding one of their new software, Windows Live Photo Gallery. It is very easy to use. You simply stick the camera in, choose import photos into windows live photo gallery and then click on the picture you want to edit, choose fix and then choose auto adjust. Then click print and you can print it out. If there's an easier way to do it then tell me.

I hate those adds too especially the windows movie maker one with the little girl. I did ICT for GCSE and A-Level and i still find XP annoying and awkward never mind the abysmal Vista used in the add. i needed no manuals, tutorials or whatever using a mac (started on leopard) everything just feels natural to me. iLife has given me more productivity alone than any windows PC has given me. P.S you need more confidence in yourself you have a good insight

Maybe he's a Mensa kid lol

I know the advert. The kid takes several photo's of something he made and then stitches them together; as if a seven year old could do that!

lol, it's funny how apple fans get all up in arms about microsoft simply retaliating against their ads. Have you seen the Mac vs. Pc ads nowadays, before even I liked them. Now they're flatout jabs at Microsoft, I think I'll stick with mid-ranged laptop that can do triple the things that a macbook can

the apple ad said "iphone 3g twice the spee half the price" when it wasnt twice as fast like it said so peeple sued them

agreed tbh mate, i think it's unlikely that everything shown could be easily done by a 7 year old. Maybe it could, but MS's whole campaign just feels like MS can't see any options beyond getting kids to sell the computers.
that said, MS's ads seem to be about the people, whereas Apple's adverts are solely about the products (beyond the occasional hand, do you ever see a person in an Apple ad at the moment?) ;)

ive seen it though i live in the UK. and a seven year old honestly cant import, edit and print a photo. it was so stupid i laughed when i saw it the first time

I agree with you to a certain extent, I don't really care about what MS do however when they make false advertising campaigns they may as well be saying that they think we are all stupid. Its like me advertising that junk food is really good for you and is going to help you lose weight. That would be crap and pulled from TV, probably wouldn't even make it to TV due to the lie. Its not what MS are doing it's the lack of respect they show for the average intelligent human they can feed us anything
