Eulogy For a Dying Fetus (1991)

Awesome death/thrash from US!

"Day breaks, routine kicks in
The daily grind, it's all a bunch of bullshit
As for me I gotta cure
Come on, won't you join me

Skank or rot, all I got
Is a voice in my brain
Skank or rot, all I got
Start the skank chain

Not accepting your bull
Body starts to spazz
Thrashing my skull
But not for a fad
Noise for the airborne
Ripping through my mind
Wanna climb & soar
Fucking stage dive
Why stand around
Like a table or a chair
Wonder who thinks what
Why should I care, I don't care

Skank or rot (repeat)"

  • So this is where dying fetus got their name from...

  • wow i forgot these guys

  • My band Compound Fracture played with SKELETAL EARTH in the 80's. Great guys!

    See Compound Fracture on Youtube.

  • This song was one of their early songs probably '88. Deicide was on the scene later and yes, the two bands knew of each other. I don't think there would have been any objection from Travis or Jared about some Napalm influence on their music, but definitely not Deicide. Actually a lot of their influences were really a lot different than their actual sound.

  • the ending vocals are pretty humorous

  • S.E. had written the bulk of their material approximately 2 years prior to recording Eulogy, but whether or not they'd actually heard of Deicide at that time I have no idea. I don't remember us (all the local bands in our area) listening to Deicide back then... but it was a LONG time ago, and my memory is prone to being a bit fuzzy when recalling those days.

  • Was this SE's first work? Because Deicide actually released their demo in 89', two years before this.

  • I know these guys and this came out way before Deicide. Thus... Deicide sounds like SE.

  • I am evil Im the Deicide
