Today's chase consisted of stops at Oakland, Charlotteburg Reservoir, Beaver Lake Road, Old Prospect School (Sparta), and Vernon.

This clip is from the reservoir. Turn up the volume and listen to the thunder of the engines while they really dig in to climb the grade. Vegetation has grown into the view of the tracks, but it is still a beautiful shot nonetheless. The same can be said for the otehr shots I took across a farm in Sparta and the wide open fields of Vernon. Enjoy this shot and the others you can enjoy in my upcoming DVD.

Interesting story: While I stood on the side of Route 23 and the train was heading by I heard a rustling in the bushes. A full grow male deer leaped from the bushes over the road barrier, no more than 5 feet away, scaring the ever-loving **** out of me. It then proceeded to run straight across the highway, inches away from death by delivery truck. Look at 1:30 and you'll be able to see him.

  • 2:23 conrail

  • @CSXACe From W Oakland Ave at the end of the bridge. Pretty similar to the one in my last WS6 video

  • @21stCenturyLtd Haha, where'd you shoot at Oakland?

  • @CSXACe hahaha Believe me if I had one on me I'd be down there. I ripped up some weeds in Oakland today at least

  • @21stCenturyLtd I'll get my dad on it, he loves to make the shot "perfect." He'll bring a chainsaw and we'll have no problems! ;) Hahaha

  • @CSXACe Definitely, probably better with less trees.

  • Nice spot to catch the train at, I wish I took advantage of that spot in the spring.
