I call these people snake oil peddlers, they have a cure for all that ails you LOL! Just by their book or vitamins or products and you will be all better....yeah right! They just want your money and people are stupid enough to fall for it. There is NO cure for some diseases we as a species are dying off due to what we have done to our environment. One little change in our diet is not going to fix all the toxins in our bodies, sorry, you dont get my money!

@kerpatric I was born with my autism I know that. You are always going to find these people that want to blame EVERYTHING on one thing....Milk, Gluten (it is true that if you have celiac you should not eat gluten as it is an allergy to gluten) and everything else. Eat some fruits and vegies stop eating meat or cut down and take care of yourself. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and there are lots of people who think it is caused by a bacteria that is commonly in your body like ecoli.

@alexanator0 Im vegan too and I have Ankylosing Spondylitis which is also a auto immune disease. I suppose my Aspergers syndrome is the fault of drinking some milk when I was a kid too.....I was breastfed btw but did have some milk when I was a kid. I dont drink milk because they kill the babies to get the milk for the humans. People also eat veal which is the males that are born to milking mother cows. Soy isnt all that great either, almond milk is good :).

Bullshit, 80% of autoimmune diseases you're born with including ALL the major ones you listed...

@EJMUSICPRODUCTIONS do you eat animal protein? do you eat highly processed grains? do you drink alcohol? all these things can effect the way the pancreas works.
For a couple dozen studies supporting this connection see: nealhendrickson . com/mcdougall/020700puthepancreas.htm Also see: ajcn . org/content/71/6/1525.full

@headveg Even the mainstream American Academy of Pediatrics Work Group on Cow’s Milk Protein and Diabetes Mellitus – 1994 issued this warning: "Early exposure of infants to cow's milk protein may be an important factor in the initiation of the beta cell destructive process in some individuals." and "The avoidance of cow's milk protein for the first several months of life may reduce the later development of IDDM or delay its onset in susceptible people."

This makes NO SENSE. I am vegan. I developed type 1 diabetes. By this "MD's" reasoning, there is no way that I could develop type 1, and it should reverse. This guy is bad news...

@headveg Important concept is molecular mimicry. Dairy is a known trigger, but not only one. Also, process of destroying beta cells takes several years, previously consumed dairy could be an inciting event. Vaccinations and viral infections have also been implicated in Type 1 diabetes - if whatever foreign substance has some of the same antigens as the beta cells—the cells that make insulin in the pancreas—then the T cells can actually turn against the beta cells.
