@TheDominicfly if u look at The Cool as a concept album, they had to be pretty gritty. The main character of the album decided to play the game and sell gangsta rap, he then got caught up in the foolishness of the game, in which he ended up getting got (The Die)

So Lupe decided one day to start rappin on a deeper level cuz he realized his gangsta tracks weren't helping the general community much. What I wanna is how the hell did he (maybe not so much) suddenly pull it off? When Lupe spits deep you know it, nothing of his is weak (minus mixtapes and Lasers) in that regard.
Reading up his history makes sense on how he can think like that but I wanna know how he made that transition
