General description
The project named Connecting Pinpricks has been chosen as the winner for three main reasons.

1. It explores the capacity of urban acupuncture very well suggesting small-scale interventions that can be made throughout the implementation of the master plan.

2. The overall master plan is very robust and shows a very good approach to the relationship between old and new. It works very well in terms of connecting the harbour area and the existing town, and at the same time proposes a new connection between the new projects or pinpricks in the harbour area.

3. The actual projects that are suggested in the proposal are loaded with harbour identity and the new meeting the old. This is beautifully illustrated in the images and collages in the entry an important point.

The projects specific ideas for interventions in the harbour such as transformed and new urban spaces, social behaviors and change of ownership is well defined, and via these delicate pin pricks, the project points out a robust and operational structure for the future development of the harbour.
