Dr. Yancy Orchard demonstrates Jiulong Baguazhang's Water Dragon Turn.
Shizi Orchard displays solo circle walking, nine post training methods, swinging post exercises, "wooden dummy" training, and partner work to highlight some basic ideas with the Inside Water Dragon Turn.
The Water Dragon Turn, also known as Shui Long Bu, and more commonly, as a Ba Bu (Eight Turn), is a fundamental type of redirection of momentum in the Jiulong Baguazhang system. Almost all other changes of direction rely upon this movement as the core of what they do.
Learn it well.
Thanks to Chris Rudulier and Dr. Marshal Montgomery for the lumps and bumps!
Thank you Shifu Painter for the instruction and the use of the Gompa Garden. (www.TheGompa.com)
You may reach Dr. Orchard at the Xin Fu Gompa in Saskatoon, SK, Canada.

nice training drills.
nice to see you use the whole rise/drill/fall/overturn motion, then make it variable with the walk and body movement.
you can see how having a simple movement done with variation makes for more sophisticated, fluid applications.
thats good bagua...
